Goolwa is a seaside/riverside area where the river Murray reaches
the sea, and was for some time the most important river port in
South Australia. There is also the first commercial train line in
Australia reaching from Goolwa to Port Elliott, then on to Victor
Harbor, this takes passengers along the coast on the weekends and
is run by volunteers.
Approximate cost if participating in all meals (which is Friday
evening, Saturday morning tea, Saturday lunch, Saturday Night
dinner, Sunday morning Breakfast, Sunday lunch, (with all drinks
at the participants expense) and other entertainment would be in
the vicinity of $185 - $200 per couple plus accommodation.
If participants wish they can arrange their own meals, quite
apart from the main groups' activities, therefore the cost
would be less according to how many organized activities in which
you wish to participate (Approximately $50 -- $60 for the
minimum).
On Saturday there will be a ride of approximately 180 - 200 Kms.
On Sunday there will be a ride of approximately 90 Kms bringing
us to our lunch venue and the end of the rally.
There could also be a shakedown run on Friday 2nd November to get
the cobwebs out of the machine and the rider. If participants
wish there could be an excursion arranged at an extra cost on the
Coorong by Coorong Classics for a trip lasting approximately 2 -
3 Hours. This excursion could be arranged for the Sunday
afternoon or the Monday if participants wish to stay on for
another day or even for the Friday if enough wish to come early.
The Coorong is one of the most important areas of the River
Murray and provides a large and diverse eco system for many
migrating birds.

although there is plenty of time to enter, please consider the
organizers and be early and when completed sent with payment
to the rally organizer.
